Stokes joins USTA Player Development team

Katelyn Stokes joined the USTA Player Development team in October 2017 as an administrative assistant, reporting to Jessica Battaglia. In her position, Stokes will focus on the USTA High-Performance Coaching Program, manage the daily correspondence with coaches who participate in the program and provide administrative support to the Coaching Education and Performance Team.

Prior to joining Player Development, Stokes was a tennis coach based in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, in Prince George’s County, Md. She has worked with Player Development previously, spending this past summer as a fellow in the Fellowship Coaching Program.  

Stokes was a successful junior player in the Mid-Atlantic Section and captured three state championships while competing on her high school team. She received a full scholarship to play at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she competed at No. 1 singles and finished with a 52-11 overall record. After graduating with a B.S. in biology in May 2014, she competed on the pro circuit. She is now pursuing a career in coaching and physical therapy.

In her spare time, Stokes enjoys traveling, experiencing new food and adventures and spending time with family and friends.
