Stephen Amritraj joined the staff of USTA Player Development on Jan. 6, 2014, as National Coach, Men’s Tennis. His primary responsibility is to facilitate coaching and training programs to assist in the development of our best prospects at USTA Training Centers as well as other locations.
Stephen played collegiate tennis for the Duke University men’s team from 2002-06. He was ranked as high as No. 4 in the country and reached the NCAA Elite Eight.
Prior to joining the USTA, Stephen coached Mardy Fish, Rajeev Ram, Prakash Amritraj and Eric Butorac on the ATP World Tour since 2009, working with Fish to maintain his Top-10 ranking in 2011-12. In addition, Stephen served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Duke University men’s team.
