What's up everyone,
I hope my blogs aren't sounding too repetitive, but if they are, it's not my fault. It is pretty much the same routine everyday. I woke up this morning at 6:45 and had my... yep, you guessed it... Bagel Factory bagel. I'm starting to get a little tired of the same breakfast, but I become a little superstitious when I do well, so I can't change it up now.
I arrived at the site at 8am for my warm up with Alexios. We warmed up for awhile today, almost 45 minutes. I guess that helped because I came out firing in my singles match. I really played well today and stuck to the game plan that I had. It gave me a lot of confidence for tomorrow. I'm expecting a tough quarterfinal against Mitchell Krueger.
After my singles, I went to Panera again to refuel and headed back to the site for doubles. We had to wait for a long time before we got on the court. Unfortunately, we didn't get it done in the dubs today and lost 11-9 in the third-set breaker. Those matches are hard to swallow because you really only lose by a point. We definitely let the match slip away, but credit to the other team because they played well.
I got back to the hotel around 3:30, showered and had some time to get some school work done. I did my work until around 6 and then met Shane in the lobby. We went to get some dinner at Chipotle! Let me tell you, for some reason tonight, Chipotle was so spicy. Shane and I couldn't even handle it. We were both sweating, and someone even asked Shane if he was crying. But, of course, it was as good as it usually is.
We walked back to the hotel and met up with Marcos. We went back to Shane's room and watched like 3 episodes of "Family Guy." That show is so random, but it had us all cracking up. After the last episode ended, I went back up to my room to get prepared for tomorrow. I play not before 9 again, so I'm going to go get some sleep.
Wish me luck,
Bjorn
